Jacquie Gering Brings Modern Quilting to WMQG
Join us October 3-5 at the DeltaPlex where you will see 257 quilts entered by regional quilt artists, in addition to special exhibits and samples in vendor booths. This biannual show features the work of members of the West Michigan Quilters' Guild, but the effort is put forth to support local charities.
The primary recipient of funds raised through the show is "The Tie That Binds" at Spectrum Hospital's NICU. This fund was created by WMQG years ago, to assist families with expenses when they find themselves in the often surprising situation of having a baby in this special unit after birth. Last year, the Guild lovingly created over 1,100 quilts so each baby in the unit could be presented with a quilt, which often covers an isolette. This year's goal is 1,300 quilts!
This year, The Manasseh Project and Our Hope will also benefit from show proceeds.
