We are an active group of almost 500 members meeting bi-monthly to share our love of quilting by learning from internationally known experts through lectures and workshops, meeting in quilting bees, sharing our knowledge and skills and caring for our community through service projects. Searching for a BEE to Call Home?

There are Quilt Bee representatives who want to meet you at the January Guild meeting.  To find out more about open bees, make sure and stop by the Quilt Bee table in the area normally occupied by the featured quilter.

Neonatal Quilt Factory

On Saturday, February 25 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. we will be gathering at the church (Calvary Christian Reformed, 3500 Byron Center Ave.) to work on neonatal quilts.

If you have never attended one of these quilt-ins, please consider joining us for a great day of sewing, fellowship, a lot of yacking, and hopefully completing many neonatal quilts to be donated to the hospital.

Due at the March Guild Meeting

This is just a quick reminder for all of you busy quilters that at the March meeting, we will be collecting quilts to turn in to the Spectrum Butterworth NICU (neonatal intensive care unit).

The social workers from the NICU will be present at this meeting to give a short update on the work of the NICU and to thank us all for our contributions. They will take the quilts with them when they leave.

AQS Quilt Challenge

"A Grand River View" is the theme for our challenge entry in the first AQS Quilt Show in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Everyone in the WMQG is eligible to enter a quilt in the contest.   The top eight quilts from our guild will be entered in the August 2012 AQS Show.

Special Announcement!

In August of 2012, 2013 and 2014, AQS will be hosting a quilt show in Grand Rapids! This show will be on par with their Lancaster and Des Moines shows. Our Guild will be in the center of it all.
