Community Activities

WMQG supports many different charities.  These are some of the organizations we have been involved with in the past.  Many are projects that are on-going and we have supported for many years.

Santa Claus Girls
click on their name to learn more at their website.

Each November members donate a new doll and a handmade quilt to the Santa Claus Girls.  WMQG donated 376 dolls/quilts in 2010 to be given to area children who are coping with poverty.

NEONATAL QUILT PARADE!

March 2011 was Neonatal Month!  We collected 335 quilts to be donated to Spectrum's Butterworth Neo-Natal unit!  What a great variety and a wonderful job.  Thank you ladies and gentlemen!

You can bring quilts to any meeting and give them to Sue Botma.  Please remember to write down your volunteer hours in her binder as we need these documented.  See the guidelines for more details.

Any questions, please contact her at 616-455-2619 or email by clicking her name here --> Sue

WMQG has donated nearly 4000 baby quilts in the last few years. The "Quilt Closet" is a colorful sight!

Thank you for your quilts!
