This is a hand- or machine-pieced project designed as a tessellated pattern that easily creates six-pointed stars. Then use the same template again to form a floating background. Pat will be sharing her best tips and tricks for easy construction. Pat Yamin, president and founder of Come Quilt With Me, is well known in the quilting industry, and has appeared on many television and radio quilt shows, the most recent being The Quilt Show with Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson. Her company manufactures templates and other tools that assure accuracy and shorten the time necessary to make a quilt. This lecture is a look at Pat’s collection of quilt tops and the stories they tell.  Pat began her love affair with old textiles at a Brimfield, Massachusetts outdoor flee market. This traditional pattern gets a totally new look by adding a square to the patchwork pattern for an interesting visual quilt. In this class you will be able to use your scraps and, at the same time, improve your piecing skills. The pieces are sewn together with straight seams. It is a gentle cure of the rows that adds dimension to the quilt. This class will teach many different techniques.
