Appliqué Techniques with Pearl P. Pereira by Pearl P. Pereira
This DVD is great for beginner or experienced appliqué quilters. The individual segments make it easy to learn at your own pace. I fell in love with this appliqué system after taking Sandy DeCarlo’s class at Smith Owen.

Quilts Through the Seasons by Eleanor Burns
Here are twelve patterns for each month of the year in various skill levels and quilt sizes with Eleanor’s detailed, illustrated directions. She always makes it look easy and fun with her unique techniques. Now if we could just figure out how to get each one done in a month!!

We also have 6 different books on Quilting designs that would be great for longarm quilters. Lots of different designs to help inspire that winning show quilt! These aren’t just for longarms only; they could easily be used for quilting with your regular machine.

At the May meeting I recognized the volunteers that have several times helped with the Library. They were each presented with a beehive pin cushion that I made myself with love and admiration poured into every stitch! (Boy is it getting thick in here or what?) And yes for those that have asked I made the bee pins too. I really want to thank everyone that has helped with the library, from those that have helped once to those that have helped tons. The library would not run without each of you that have given the time to help. And yes you can help too; I have a signup sheet by the check in station that is waiting for your Jane Hancock!

We will not have the Library set up for the July fun event but instead will have the wonderful Sale Table. Please buy lots we want to sell out so we don’t have to store them anymore! I still need a few more helpers with the sale table. (Hint: there might be something special in it for you) Call or email me if you can help, I want to break it into half hour shifts if I can get enough signed up.

If you are looking for a special book, contact Bobbi Buller for a specific title or a complete list of books in our library.  We have over 700 books to choose from. We are looking for library volunteers for 2010. It’s a great way to get your hands on the new books before they go back out on the table. No previous experience is needed!
Look for these new books in our ever-expanding Library!  Remember you must be a current member to check-out books from the Library.  Books are to be returned at the next meeting but that gives you plenty of time to pick a project and get it finished!  Bring it to Show & Tell!
