Hello fellow West Michigan Quilters Guild members: I am sending this update to you with a HUGE Woo Hoo!!! We got a request for some neonatal quilts to be delivered to the hospital and were so glad that we were able to deliver 300 quilts on Monday morning, February 7. It feels so good to be able to supply these little ones and their families with some beautifully made quilts that you have been so generous in making. Greetings!!! Planning for our show in April is in process. We could use your help! There will be Quilts of Valor presentations throughout our event, supporting the Quilts of Valor Foundation mission to “cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.” In order to hold these celebrations, we need lots more quilts (approximately 50!). This year’s challenge is a square quilt, 36″ x 36″. Your turn-in date will be at our March 2022 guild meeting. At that time, we will display the quilts that we have collected and eight will be chosen to go on to the AQS Show in Grand Rapids, August of 2022.
